Stronghold Soccer Club

We are New Jersey's oldest soccer club dedicated to premier level development of select boy and girl youth players from U11 to U18. SSC is centrally located in New Jersey in the scenic rolling hills of the Peapack-Gladstone area. Nonetheless, SSC players historically have represented a state-wide constituency. Stronghold coaches are similarly drawn from the best the region has to offer, and each is accomplished in his or her own right.

**2014 - 2015 U17 Boys Opening Announced**

We have an immediate opening or two for a competitive field player on our U17 boys Stronghold Spartans. This is open to boys with a date of birth between August 1, 1997 and July 31, 1998 or younger. The Spartans are former NJYS and US Club Soccer NJ state champions as well as champions of numerous soccer and futsal leagues and tournaments over the years. Players appropriate for this team will typically be core starting players on their varsity high school teams. The Spartans are coached by Kean University's head coach, Rob Irvine, formerly of UPenn. Stronghold is pleased to announce a merger with FC Berna to become their elite division and form one united "super club." The move will create one of the largest and most comprehensive player progression systems for soccer in New Jersey and surrounding states. Our new club will develop boys and girls players from the junior youth development stages through the premier/academy level in the Stronghold division to U18. Our players will continue to have direct links to our nationwide network of collegiate coaches as they decide where to play in college. Tryouts for the 2014 - 2015 season will be announced soon for all age groups.
