SSC STRONGHOLD HOME FIELD TRAVEL DIRECTIONS
In the soccer world, fields are a precious commodity, to be prized and preserved. And as with many clubs, SSC gets access to most of its fields with the cooperation of hosts whose hospitality cannot be lightly abused. Please help us maintain our good relationships by following some obvious rules and using just pure common sense and courtesy. We'll reciprocate when we visit your place!

• Park in designated lots and spots only. Do not drive vehicles over fields!
• Please pick up trash, water bottles, athletic tape, etc. from your team area as you leave.
• Be exuberant, supportive fans, but do so at the soccer pitch. Respect the behavioral expectations of adjoining residential and commercial areas.
• Please refrain from drinking alcoholic beverages and smoking tobacco (well, smoking anything actually...) at a youth sports event. (Yes, we know its open air, but cigarette butts tend to wind up all over the grounds.)

DIRECTIONS TO MT. ST. JOHN'S FIELDS

Access to these fields has changed in 2010 so if you have earlier directions please update. The fields are now accessed via Roxiticus Rd in Mendham. An address for map programs that will get you to the entrance is - 96 Hunters Glen, Far Hills, NJ. (Note that this area is not Far Hills but for some strange reason that’s what the map programs think)

From points South and INTERSTATE 287:

1. Take Interstate 287 to Exit 22 for Route 206 North.
2. Travel North on Route 206 for ~ 5 miles and take a right at light onto Pottersville Rd (CR 512.
3. At first Stop Sign go straight. At T-intersection take left onto Mendham Rd.
4. Follow for ~1.7 miles – the road changes to Roxiticus – and take right onto Hunters Glen.
5. Follow for 0.4 miles to Stop Sign and go straight uphill into parking lot.

From old ROUTE 24 through MENDHAM from MORRISTOWN:

1. Take old Route 24 (sometimes marked Route 124 on maps) heading West from Morristown through the center of Mendham.
2. Once you pass the Black Horse Inn on your right, it is just over a mile to Roxiticus Road.
3. Take left onto Roxiticus and go 2.6 miles. Then turn left onto Hunters Glen.
4. Go 0 .4 miles to Stop Sign then go straight up hill into parking lot.

From Chester on old Rt 24

1. Take old Route 24 just over three miles East from the light at the intersection of Route 517 and Route 24.
2. Shortly after passing the firehouse on your right, look for Roxiticus Road turning to your right. Go 2.6 miles and turn left onto Hunters Glen.
3. Go 0 .4 miles to Stop Sign then go straight up hill into parking lot.

From Points North

1. Take Rt 206 South.
2. After passing though lights in Chester go ~4.5 miles and take left at light onto Pottersville Rd (CR 512).
3. At first Stop Sign go straight. At T-intersection take left onto Mendham Rd.
4. Follow for ~1.7 miles – the road changes to Roxiticus – and take right onto Hunters Glen.
5. Follow for 0.4 miles to Stop Sign and go straight uphill into parking lot.

DIRECTIONS TO PURNELL SCHOOL IN POTTERSVILLE NJ

From South:

1. Take Route 206 North to Pottersville Road.
2. Turn left at light onto Pottersville Road. Stay on this road for about 2 miles.
3. Take SECOND entrance to Purnell School on right.
4. Park in lot on left, or on overflow area grass behind lot. DO NOT PARK IN CIRCLE OR ON ROADS ADJACENT TO FIELDS. THIS IS A BOARDING SCHOOL AND VISITORS ARE REQUESTED TO RESPECT SCHOOL FACILITIES.

From East:

• Interstate 78 West to Route 206 and follow directions above.

From West:

1. Interstate 78 to Oldwick Exit.
2. Go north to Oldwick, following Route 525 when it turns right at Melick's Farm.
3. Go 3 miles to Black River Road.
4. Turn left and follow to Pottersville. Pass the turn at white church.
5. Continue up road to parking area behind

DIRECTIONS TO BLACK RIVER FIELDS IN CHESTER NJ

From the NORTH:

1. From State Highway 10, about seven miles west of Interstate 287, take County Road 513, known as Dover-Chester Road, heading SOUTH.
2. After about 5 to 6 miles, you will pass Black River Wildlife Area on your right.
3. Note that at Chester town line, County Route 513 becomes known as North Road.
4. After the Wildlife Area ends, fields will be on your right.

From the NORTHWEST:

1. Take U.S. Highway 206 heading SOUTH.
2. When you reach Main Street in Chester, you will see Larison's Turkey Farm restaurant on your right at a traffic light.
3. Take a left at the traffic light onto Route 24, also known as Main Street.
4. After a short distance, there will be another intersection with a traffic light and a sign for County Route 513, also known as North Road, heading straight ahead through the light for about another mile.
5. On the left you will pass Black River Middle School and a farmhouse, before coming to the Fields on your left.

From the SOUTH:

1. Take U.S. Highway 206 heading NORTH towards Chester.
2. When you see Larison's Turkey Farm restaurant, take a right at that traffic light onto Route 24, also known as Main Street.
3. After a short distance, there will be another intersection with a traffic light and a sign for County Route 513, also known as North Road, heading straight ahead through the light for about another mile.
4. On the left you will pass Black River Middle School and a farmhouse, before coming to the Fields on your left.

From the MORRISTOWN AREA in the EAST:

1. Take Route 24 heading WEST from Morristown. (From Interstate I-287, take Madison Avenue toward Morristown, right onto South Street, around Morristown Green, right onto Washington Street which is Route 24 heading out of town.)
2. Road is Main Street through Mendham town center, and again becomes Main Street in Chester.
3. At major intersection with traffic light about 11 miles west of Morristown, see sign for County Route 513, also known as North Road.
4. Take Right onto North Road.
5. Fields are about one mile down on left, after passing Black River Middle School and a farmhouse.

DIRECTIONS TO CHUBB PARK FIELDS IN CHESTER NJ

From the NORTH:

1. From State Highway 10, about seven miles west of Interstate 287, take County Road 513, known as Dover-Chester Road, heading SOUTH.

4. When you get to a traffic light, Old Route 24 comes in from the left and you will proceed on Routes 24 / 513 for about a mile into the center of Chester. At another light, with Larison's Turkey Farm restaurant in front of you on the right side, go through the light straight ahead.
5. Proceed _ mile, and entrance to Chubb Park will be on your right.
6. Fields are in rear of park.

From the NORTHWEST:

1. Take U.S. Highway 206 heading SOUTH.
2. When you reach Main Street in Chester, you will see Larison' Turkey Farm restaurant in front of you on the right.
3. Take a right at traffic light onto old Route 24.
4. Proceed _ mile, and entrance to Chubb Park will be on your right.
5. Fields are in rear of park.

From the SOUTH:

1. Take U.S. Highway 206 heading NORTH towards Chester.
2. When you see Larison's Turkey Farm restaurant, take a left at that traffic light onto old Route 24.
3. Proceed _ mile, and entrance to Chubb Park will be on your right.
4. Fields are in rear of park.

From the MORRISTOWN AREA in the EAST:

DIRECTIONS TO GILL ST. BERNARD'S SCHOOL FIELDS IN GLADSTONE NJ
St. Bernard's Road - Gladstone, NJ 07934 - 908-234-1611

From SOUTH of the school:

1. Take Interstate 287 North to Exit 22B (U.S. Highways 202-206 North).
2. Follow Route 206 North for 4.8 miles to the traffic light at Pottersville Road (Route 512).
3. Turn RIGHT onto Pottersville Road; continue 0.25 miles to the stop sign. (Main Street).
4. Turn LEFT onto Main Street.
5. Follow Main Street for 1 mile, bearing LEFT at the Y intersection.
6. You will see the open fields and buildings of Gill St. Bernard's School on your RIGHT.
7. Turn RIGHT at the next street -- St. Bernard's Road.
8. Make first RIGHT into school.

From NORTH of the school:

1. Take U.S. Highway 206 South.
2. After the traffic light at the intersection with State Highway 24 in Chester, continue another 1.2 miles.
3. Turn LEFT at the sign for Peapack-Gladstone (Old Chester Road).
4. Continue 2.4 miles.
5. Turn LEFT onto St. Bernard's Road.
6. Make first RIGHT into school.

DIRECTIONS TO SOCCER CENTERS FIELD IN SOMERSET NJ
300 Memorial Drive - Somerset, NJ 08873 - 732-748-4625

From Interstate-287 North or South:

1. Approach from I-287 either North or South to Exit 12.
2. At the end of the ramp, make a Left onto Weston Canal Road.
3. At the first light, make a Left onto Cottontail Lane.
4. Go 7/10 of a mile and make a Right onto Memorial Drive.
5. Soccer Centers will be ahead of you at the end of the street.

DIRECTIONS TO THE WILLOW SCHOOL

The WIllow School is in Gladstone NJ at 1150 Pottersville Rd.

If you are coming from the South:

1. Take Interstate 287 North to Exit 22B (U.S. Highways 202-206 North).
2. Follow Route 206 North for 4.8 miles to the traffic light at Pottersville Road .
3. Turn left onto Pottersville Road (Route 512)
4. Turn right into the school at the first driveway and follow to soccer field.

If you are coming from the North:

1. Take Route 206 South
2. After the traffic light at the intersection with Route 24 in Chester, continue 4.5 miles on 206 to the traffic light at Pottersville Road
3. Turn right onto Pottersville Road (Rt 512)
4. Turn right into the school at the first driveway and follow to soccer field.

DIRECTIONS TO RIVER ROADS FIELDS

If you are coming from the East:

1. Travel west on Interstate 78 to exit 29, follow signs to get on Interstate 287 North.
2. Take exit 22B (Routes 202/206 North) - this will be the second exit after you get on 287. The exit ramp is a long loop; stay to the right when you come out of the loop.
3. About 1/4 mile after you pass under 287, bear right into the jughandle for River Road. Stay to the right in the jughandle.
4. Continue straight through the stop light onto River Road. Just after you cross over 202/206, turn right into the River Road park.
5. Drive through the gate and past the baseball field.

If you are coming from the South:

1. Travel north on Interstate 287 to exit 22B (Routes 202/206 North) - this will be the second exit after you pass under Interstate 78.
